Escape into the rich and varied landscapes of Botswana and Zimbabwe on a 10-day guided group tour, starting in Maun and ending in Victoria Falls. A scenic flight over the Okavango Delta provides an aerial view of its winding waterways, offering a comprehensive perspective of this extraordinary ecosystem. Exploring Moremi, Chobe, and Hwange National Parks offers the opportunity to witness a wide array of wildlife and diverse landscapes, each unique in character. This group tour through Botswana and Zimbabwe features an exceptional itinerary, including accommodations, most meals, and activities.
When visiting Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park is a must-see. It is the country’s largest national park, covering more than 14,000 square kilometers. The park is located approximately 1-2 hours from Victoria Falls, depending on the entry gate used or the camp where you are staying. With over 400 bird species and more than a hundred mammals, Hwange National Park offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa. The optimal time to visit is during the dry season from July to October, when animals gather around the waterholes and pans.
The central and eastern parts of the Okavango Delta are protected by the Moremi Game Reserve. This includes not only the waterways but also the drier regions, offering a great diversity of wildlife and over 500 species of birds. No safari in Botswana is complete without a trip to Moremi as it has been described as one of the most beautiful wildlife reserves in Africa. With the reintroduction of white rhino, it is, once again, a big-five reserve.
This vast and varied ecosystem of the Okavango Delta is a well known Botswana wildlife and safari destination. The Okavango River flows into the Kalahari Desert and creates a myriad of waterways, home to some of Africa’s most endangered wildlife and birds. We explore the natural majesty of the Delta by boat and vehicle on this leg of your Botswana and Zimbabwe tour.
Chobe National Park is famous for its big herds of buffalo and its massive elephant population. This is an up-close and inspiring safari destination in Botswana, as it has some of the highest game densities in Africa. Chobe is especially well known for the beautiful remote Savuti region, which we visit as part of this Chobe safari package.
Statistically speaking the Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall in the world and is also known as one of the seven wonders of the world! Great accolades for this stop on your safari package, Victoria Falls is a must-see on your journey through Botswana and Zimbabwe. Visit Vic falls, explore the town and enjoy the great selection of adventure activities that are available.
