Lake Natron Tented Camp, run by Moivaro, sits in an acacia grove near the shore of Lake Natron, below the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. It is the natural base for visiting this remote soda lake and its flamingos.
Accommodation is in en-suite eco-tents and Maasai-style bandas, kept simple in keeping with the wild setting. Verified facilities include a natural stone pool, a stone-and-thatch dining room and bar, and a shared campfire area.
Meals are provided, and part of the camp’s fees supports a local Maasai community fund. It is a rustic tented camp in a remote area rather than a full-service lodge, best suited to travellers happy with limited Wi-Fi and power.
