Mweka Camp is a forest campsite used on the descent from Kilimanjaro’s summit via the Mweka route. It is the final night’s stop as climbers come down off the mountain.

The camp is basic, with cleared pitches, shared toilet blocks and a ranger check-out point, though the tree canopy offers some shelter and slightly warmer conditions than the upper slopes.

Tents and meals are handled by the trekking crew. The site is for descending climbers only, and the forest trail can become very muddy in the rains.
