Tarangire National Park is a protected area in northern Tanzania known for its large herds of elephants and diverse wildlife. The park is situated in the Manyara Region and covers an area of 2,600 square kilometers. Tarangire is named after the Tarangire River that runs through the park and is a vital source of water for the animals that inhabit the area. The park is home to over 550 bird species and a variety of mammals, including zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, and buffalo. Day 0: Arrival into JRO/ARK where you will be meet with our driver and transfer you to Arusha for Overnight on BB
Day 01: Arusha / Tarangire National Park Pick up from your hotel at 8:30am and drive to Tarangire National park, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. In the evening drive back to your campsite/ Tented Lodge. Day 02: Tarangire / Lake Manyara National Park After breakfast we drive to the Lake Manyara National Park in the Great Rift Valley. After a picnic lunch in the Park, home to tree-climbing lion, colorful birds, elephant and hippo, Activities: Game drives Accommodation & Meals: Kizumba campsite
Day 03: Lake Manyara / Serengeti After breakfast we leave Lake Manyara for Serengeti, game drive in Serengeti, in search of large predators and gentle herbivores in which they feed. Activities: Game drives Accommodation & Meals: Seronera Campsite
Day 04: Serengeti / Ngorongoro After breakfast, morning game drive in Serengeti with picnic lunch until afternoon, later proceed to ngorongoro conservation area for sleep. Activities: Game drives Accommodation & Meals: Simba Campsite
Day 05: Ngorongoro/Arusha Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drives about 6hrs in the Crater, exploring the short-grass plains of the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100sq miles alive with lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many more games. Later you will ascend to the top and proceed to Arusha for Overnight or drop off to Airport. Activities: Game drives
