Harmoniously nestled into the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem, set high on the Gambasage hill overlooking the famous Grumeti River, Serengeti Simba Lodge is situated on the main path of the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra.

With awe-inspiring panoramic views of the vast Savannah, Serengeti Simba Lodge is home to prolific bird-life and a stunning array of large game including: lion, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, elephant, bush buck, zebra, gazelle, topi and wildebeest. The vast wildebeest migration passes through the area twice a year on the annual trek through the Serengeti Eco-system.

Located just outside the Fort Ikoma gate of Serengeti National Park, Serengeti Simba Lodge is accessible by road from Arusha (approximately 7 hours driving time) which is in turn linked to Dar es Salaam and Nairobi. From the north and western sides of Serengeti National Park, Serengeti Simba Lodge is accessible from Mwanza, Musoma and Kenya. Serengeti Simba Lodge can also be reached by air via charter or scheduled flights on light aircraft. Ikoma airstrip is a 15 minute drive and Seronera airstrip is approximately a 1 hour drive.


LOBO WILDLIFE LODGE

SERENA SERENGETI

Set high on the saddle of a tree-clad ridge, commanding panoramic views across the Serengeti, this lodge is the ultimate fusion of traditional African architecture and world-class style. Winner of numerous awards from the world travel press, it is perhaps the finest venue the Serengeti has to offer.

Centrally located adjacent to the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River, the lodge has been designed to blend completely into the living landscape. A series of traditional domed ‘rondavels' are widely spaced throughout the grounds, which are cooled by groves of acacia trees and watered by sparkling streams.

On the very edge of the ridge is a ‘vanishing horizon' pool, which looks out over the ‘endless plains' after which the Serengeti is named.

Situated close to the world-famous 2-million-year-old paleolithic site of Ol Duvai, ‘birthplace of mankind', the lodge has been styled to offer a showcase of cultural performance, heritage and traditional art, which is best illustrated by the lavish Makonde carvings which decorate both the rooms and the stunning domed dining room.

As for wildlife, the Serengeti National Park offers not only all the members of ‘The Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo), but also the annual ‘migration' of over one million wildebeest and their attendant cast of predators.


IKOMA TENTED CAMP

Located in the Ikoma Game Reserve on the border of Serengeti National Park, this tented camp offers an affordable alternative to the more expensive camps and lodges inside the park itself.

Simplicity and a rustic feel permeate the ambiance of the camp, the canvas tents are spacious and well maintained. The camp is well situated for game drives and very close to the "Land of vast plains and un-tampered wilderness". Ikoma Tented Camp is set in the midst of an incredible vista of savannah and skies, sheltered in a grove of acacia trees.

The camp is small, comfortable and secluded. Ikoma Bush Camp has the concession for the area to operate night game drives and guided game walks, an unique experience! Between May and July the annual Serengeti migration passes close by!

There are ten spacious tents, all having twin beds and attached bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. There is a thatched bar and dining room under traditional style thatched grass. Electricity and hot water is supplied by 12V solar power. There is an inverter for recharging batteries.


KIRAWIRA SERENA CAMP

The most exclusive of the Serena Group's many safari venues, and a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group, Kirawira Serena Camp in the Serengeti offers the epitome of classic ‘Out of Africa' safari camp luxury. In keeping with the theme of colonial opulence, the elegant twin dining tents feature Edwardian-styled dining furniture, sprung floors, crisp-starched napery, delicate blue and white china and weighty silver accoutrements, whilst the staff are attired in classical colonial ‘mess' uniform of white Swahili robes.

The camp has just 25 widely-spaced luxury tents, raised on timber platforms, each with a glorious view of the plains. Each tent has a spacious furnished deck leading to a bedroom furnished in antique Edwardian style with steamer-trunks, writing desk, brass lamps, rugs, sepia photographs and four-poster bed with patchwork quilt. Each tent has its own personal valet.


KANANGA SPECIAL TENTED CAMP

A tented camp with a view, Kananga Special Tented Camp is a very comfortable and reasonably priced tented camp at Seronera, in the heart of the Serengeti.

Hidden in an enclave, surrounded by spectacular views and abundant wildlife, our special tented camp overlooks a beautiful Savannah dotted with the emblematic East African Thorn tree.

We provide full board tented camp accommodation. Our talented chef and professional, enthusiastic staff will be glad to attend to your requirements. All transfers and game drives are undertaken in specially equipped land cruisers

SERENGETI KATI KATI TENTED CAMP

A mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti Plains. The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience. The camp is only a two hour scenic drive from Olduvai Gorge Museum and Grumeti River.

A cosy mess tent is located in the center of the camp where meals are served. The campfire is ready every evening for appetizers and snacks before dinner.
